Where Curious Years Began

Before there was a book, a Discovery Box, or even a name, there was simply a mom trying to create more intentional time with her kids.

Our founder, Megan, started planning little activities and adventures for her son. Things they could build, discover, experiment with, and talk about together. She watched his face light up when something worked, listened as one question turned into five more and she realized how much she loved seeing the world through his eyes.

Megan didn't want her son to stop asking “why?” She wanted to give him even more reasons to ask it. That idea eventually became Curious Years.

Curious Years is a childhood enrichment company dedicated to inspiring curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections between children and the adults who guide them. We believe that childhood is not something to rush through, it is a season to explore, question, discover, and wonder.

Unlike traditional children's activity brands that focus primarily on entertainment or academic achievement, Curious Years is rooted in the belief that curiosity is one of the most valuable skills a child can develop. By combining guided conversation, hands-on exploration, and purposeful play, we help adults become active participants in a child's curiosity journey.

As a mom of two and a lifelong believer in the power of curiosity, Megan believes one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the confidence to keep asking questions. Curiosity is a tool they’ll carry with them for life and Curious Years was created to nurture it from the very beginning.

VP of Wonder & Growth

As a mom of four, Alex knows firsthand that creating meaningful moments with our kids doesn’t have to mean perfectly planned activities or adding more to an already full plate. She believes in making space for simple moments of curiosity, wonder, and connection and helping caregivers feel supported and inspired along the way.
